The Fifth Outotsu Hanten in 2026/ Outotsu Print Exhibition it was a big success.
Members of Atelier Outotsu and overseas partners from France, Portugal, America, Croatia, Germany, Wales, Japan exhibited exquisite artworks.
I was represented in this exhibition with three etchings.
One etching “Berlin Beats”, 102×42 cm, was a collaboration with Gowara Minsa created in summer 2023 in Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, and expressed a chain of absurd personal stories from Berlin and our life in general overseas. A reflection of our every day life with humor and a witty spirit.
Two more etchings, “The Flying Turtle”, 26.5×30 cm created in 2025 and “The Echoes of Memories” 33.5×50,5 cm from 2024 were telling personal nostalgic memories and also visions of the future.
I remembered foundly the creative time when I was working in Outostsu Atelier in Japan, along one of the finest artists who have the deep knowledge of various printmaking techniques and a true genuine expression of unique ideas.
It has been a true honor to be invited in this prestigious exhibition, continuing our dialog and collaboration during so many years, through the time. Thank you very much, Outotsu Atelier, Mrs. Kaoru Higashi and Mr. Ritsuwo Kanno.
